There's a verse from one of my favorite musicals that goes like this:
"The meanest dog you'll ever meet, he ain't the hound dog in the street. He bares some teeth and tears some skin, but brother, that's the worst of him.
The dog you really got to dread is the one that lives inside your head. It's him whose howling drives men mad and a mind to its undoing."

This training week was rough, mentally. My last two runs of the week left me an emotional mess. I cannot explain where it all came from. I was feeling great at the start of the week and by the end I was emotionally and mentally drained. I talk about it in my latest YouTube video, here.
In addition to the mental obstacles the weather in Colorado was COLD! In the writing of this, it is still very cold and I just got notification that there is a severe wind chill warning in effect along with the news that this weather has broken records for my city. I am fortunate to have the ability to use a treadmill at home.
We are officially in the double digits range of the London Marathon, 97 days to go!
My family and I received notification that our Passports were approved, so that's very exciting! I've also been receiving emails from the event organizers with some training advice, nutrition info for the course, and other tidbits for race day. The reality of this event is growing and although all of this is for the marathon, I'm also training for other races that will be occurring prior to my boarding of the plane for the UK.
In less than a month I'll be running a local Half Marathon - I'm hopeful that the weather is not as chilly!
I'm also in the process of determining what my next raffle fundraiser event will be for my business. I think a BOOKISH theme will do well. :)
I want to continue to thank you all for your support! I'll leave you with an adorable picture of my training partner.
