New Shoes, New Routine, and Motivation

New Shoes, New Routine, and Motivation

This week I had to complete 11 miles for my long run, it went SPECTACULAR!!!

I had my pre-run fuel on point, my during-run nutrition and hydration on point, and I had my new kicks!!  Such a great time, although it was on a treadmill.  For week 4 (this week) of my training, I plan to get some time outside because the weather has finally cleared up some to allow me to be somewhat comfortable outdoors.

This is what is was last week! Frozen eyebrows and lashes!

On Sunday I made the decision to retire my Chicago Hokas (no, that's not the actual name of them, but the name I gave them because they were my race and training shoe) and now I have my London Hokas (again, not the actual name, but they will be my training shoe).  They're so pretty :)

I took time today to reflect on my motivation for this Six Star Journey, which I discuss in this week's YouTube training recap video here.

It was a great week!  As a reminder, I am still fundraising for my chosen charity - Tuesday's Children - and I have been sewing like crazy adding more and more to my inventory at least bi-weekly.  As of now I have about $900 raised!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

If you're interested, you can check here for my new makes on my website, Walk in Beauty Creations.  The money earned from my makes goes into my fundraising pot.  I'll also be holding another raffle event next month!!  Stay tuned.

Have a beautiful week and I'll write another update next week!
